2014 Program Outline

FRIDAY 27TH JUNE

The festival commences on Friday evening with Happy Hours at our local hotels. Follow this up with a Guinness or two in our historic pubs or local eateries.

SATURDAY 28TH JUNE

Start the day by joining our celebrated Poet’s Breakfast in the ‘Blue Dragonfly Café’,

THIS YEAR COMMENCING AT 9 AM, either to present a poem or reading, or just to sit and be truly entertained by the poets.

Then take a leisurely stroll to the centre of town for the main days activities checking out our heritage buildings along the way. Once again a wonderful array of artists with a good mix of styles from traditional to modern will be here to entertain you. Enjoy heated venues or browse along the market stalls in the street. We also take the opportunity to welcome new groups and emerging talent to our town and the list of artists for 2014 listed here brings something to suit everyone.

Kilmore Memorial Hall Bands and dances from 10am until 7pm – Evening Concert 7.30pm to 11pm

John Taylor Room (Kilmore Library) 11am to 7pm Bands

SUNDAY 29TH JUNE

Christ Church Kilmore will be holding a Celtic Mass commencing at 9am in Union Street and all are welcome to come and join in the service there.

Kilmore Memorial Hall – 12 noon to 4pm

A fitting finale to the festival is the fabulous Celtic Banquet. An enjoyable afternoon of feasting and entertainment commencing at mid-day with a delicious roast meal accompanied by a variety of celtic treats and of course be entertained by our best celtic performers.

Due to the popularity of the Banquet each year it is ESSENTIAL that ALL BANQUET TICKETS must be paid for in advance by 24th June. Please note that Banquet bookings WILL NOT be available on the day.

Bookings are essential for the Sunday Banquet so avoid disappointment and book now. So make sure to put the last weekend of June in your diary.

Kilmore’s weather is sure to be purely Celtic so put on your winter woolies, join in the fun and help us celebrate Kilmore’s Celtic heritage.
